The boot was a JOKE! I got a second opinion on my foot and I have a nueroma.(a soft tissue growth) I wasted $800 on the boot and xrays and a MRI. I never had fractures. Can I get some opinions here? What would you all do? We are trying to get $ back from my dr who misdiagnoesed me. She is quite reluctant to give me money back. I guess that would mean she is admitting she was dead Wrong. What to do!

Boot vs. Stiletto
Ok, a few months ago I bought what are my favorite high hills. Yes, they are pink and so high and cute! Unfortunatly, I am stuck wearing a huge boot instead. About 2 years ago, my left foot started hurting and it has gotten to the point that the only way I could endure the pain was to wear a flip flop. I finally broke down and went to the foot dr. I am in a walking cast for 6 WEEKS. I have fractured 2 of my toes. Usually people fracture toes and feet from running alot. I dont have stress fractures from running. I only slog. (half walk, half jog) Frank commented on how I am a klutz. Yes, I could have broken them tripping, stubbing or just walking. Needless to say I wont be wearing my beautiful hills from Aldo for quite some time.

Alex Talks
Alex has a couple of words that he says now. He says datee for daddy, mama, and dity for stinky. He or Frank and I sniff his feet and say dity! He laughs and laughs thinking he is hilarious.(and he is!) Yesterday he started to really show me that he enjoys story time. He brings me a book and crawls into my lap. I love it! After I read it he trows the book and gets another one. He use to just play with books by stacking them up and knocking them down, now he knows what they are really for . I was so excitted. His 1st birthday is coming up in one week. I cant beleive how fast time flys. My baby is growing up!!!

Grandma Nan, grandpa Scott, and Great grandma Nory all came to visit for the 4th of July. We shopped, ate out and went to a movie. Mostly we played with Alex and the grandma's taught him how to crawl. Now he is crawling and is all over the place. It is hard to keep up with him and is quite the chore. Some times I long for the days when he just sat...

Alex on the prowl
During our trip to Utah, we had a professional photographer take pictures of Alex, Sklyer and Papi for fathers day. We submitted one of the photos to Cute kids .com in hopes of winning the cute kid award! We'll find out Aug 12th. Wish us luck! We think he's pretty cute. Yes, we are bias being his parents and all... Alex learned to crawl this week. He is now all over the place. PLaying with door stops, tipping over trash cans. Just a typical boy. We are in the process of baby proofing the house. Hopefully we'll keep him out of trouble!

What "Family changing room" really means...
After working out yesterday, I decided to take Alex to the pool. He loves floating on the lazy river and splashing around. So I go into the Family changing room and change him into his swim diaper and suit and slather him with sun block. Then I proceed to change into my suit. My swim suit is in knots and I get it all untangled after stripping down to my nakedness. I pull the straps up over my chest as a group of kids come into the Family changing room with... their DAD! Yes, family changing room means just that! The whole family can come in. Dad and all. I think tomorrow I will go into the womens dressing room. Alex needs less privacy than I do!

Utah Vacation
We went to Utah for a little family vacation this last week. We had so much fun! We went to a movie, hung out, ate out and visited with family and friends. The weather was actually cooler than I had planned on. We are use to sweltering hot Texas summers and so I only brought shorts for us to wear. We actually had to turn on a heater at night so Alex wouldnt freeze! I think Alex had too much fun... He never wanted to nap. There were too many people around to play with so he would skip his afternoon nap and then stay up until 9 or 10 pm. He usually goes to be by 6:30 or 7pm at home. He enjoyed the splash pool in mami's and papi's subdivision. It will be fun once he and primo Skyler can run around and play together! We call Alex pollito and Sklyer would confidently inform us that pollito means chicken and not to call him that! It was hard to come home from Mami spoiling us with her great cooking. How we miss a home cooked meal!(especially Frank, poor guy has to eat my casarolls or fast food) We cant wait to see family again and invite any body and everybody to come visit Texas this summer! Dont worry, we stay inside with the AC or sit in the pool.
